Just Blaze dropped a little plug for Saigon’s upcoming “Greatest Story Never Told,” out February 15th. He also had a special guest in this 17-second clip. Dr. Dre was on hand to announce Detox will be dropping 4.20.2011. Well everyone was fooled.
When Just Blaze and Dr. Dre released their little plug video last night we were misled a bit. According to MTV, “A rep for rapper/producer says viral video isn’t referring to long-awaited album’s release date.” Looks as if Dr. Dre’s Detox has yet to find an official release date as of now. April 20, falls on a Wednesday which is an unusual day for an album release. Well if he wasn’t talking about Detox, then what the hell was he hinting at? Maybe this is all a reminder to keep Detox fresh in our minds. Not as if we waited for the highly anticipated album for over a decade or anything.
