Ken Griffey Jr. has retired from Major League Baseball today at the age of 40. Griffey, a future Hall of Famer, played for the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and Chicago White Sox. After playing 22 seasons, smacking 630 home runs and a ton highlight-reel of catches the one that was nicknamed “The Kid” called it quits. His retirement marks the end of an era and I thank him for playing the game clean. I’ll remember him not just as a baseball player but one of my child hood heros.
