Was it no surprise that Eminem leads the list of nominees? Not at all but numerous artists in select categories was. His chances at Grammy gold include Song and Record of the Year (for “Love the Way You Lie”) and Album of the Year (for Recovery, which is also up for Rap Album of the Year). He’s not finished there also getting nods for Best Rap Solo Performance (for “Not Afraid”), Pop Collaboration With Vocals (B.o.B’s “Airplanes Part II”) and Best Rap Song (for “Love The Way You Lie”). Bruno Mars received seven nominations, with Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga, all grabbing six nominations.
While the category of “Best New Artist,” was announced fans found it hard to believe B.o.B and Nicki Minaj’s names hadn’t surfaced. Cee-Lo’s track “Forget F*ck You” made a big splash this year just in time to get a few nominations. While The Roots work did not go unnoticed gaining a total of 6 nominations 5 for WakeUp! with John Legend and another for How I Got Over. “After a performance at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas, Bruno Mars was questioned by security inside of the establishments restroom. Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was found in possession of narcotics, by security and later arrested.
Sgt. John Sheehan arrested the singer around 2:40 am and it is not known what he was in possession of. Though no other details have been released as of yet surrounding the arrest, we all know this is not a good look for the singer/songwriter.”
