Travis Barker’s ‘Give The Drummer Some’ Out February 22nd

Travis Barker has been working hard on his upcoming album Give The Drummer Some. Now fans of the drummer and hip-hop collaborator now have a date to look forward to. Barker’s album Give The Drummer Some, is set for a February 22nd release. Features on the album range from Eminem, B.o.B, Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, Slaughterhouse, Lil Wayne, RZA, Rick Ross, Drake, Game, even Lupe Fiasco. With production from Swizz Beatz, The Neptunes, and Chuck Inglish, it looks like Barker is pulling out all the stops. If your questioning if this man is hip-hop enough this album is your answer. Eminem and Lil Wayne Perform on SNL

Say what you want about Saturday Night Live skits, they continue to pull in some top notch musical acts. This year alone we have seen the likes of Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney and now Eminem and Lil Wayne. Last night two oh hip hops biggest acts performed on the program with tracks such as “Won’t Back Down,” “6 Foot 7 Foot” as well as their single “No Love.” This was Lil Wayne’s first television appearance since his release from Prison and Eminem’s fifth appearance on the show. And The 2011 Grammy Nominees Are…….

Was it no surprise that Eminem leads the list of nominees? Not at all but numerous artists in select categories was. His chances at Grammy gold include Song and Record of the Year (for “Love the Way You Lie”) and Album of the Year (for Recovery, which is also up for Rap Album of the Year). He’s not finished there also getting nods for Best Rap Solo Performance (for “Not Afraid”), Pop Collaboration With Vocals (B.o.B’s “Airplanes Part II”) and Best Rap Song (for “Love The Way You Lie”).  Bruno Mars received seven nominations, with Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga, all grabbing six nominations.

While the category of “Best New Artist,” was announced fans found it hard to believe B.o.B and Nicki Minaj’s names hadn’t surfaced. Cee-Lo’s track “Forget F*ck You” made a big splash this year just in time to get a few nominations. While The Roots work did not go unnoticed gaining a total of 6 nominations 5 for WakeUp! with John Legend and another for How I Got Over.
