Protestors made their voice heard over U2’s Glastonbury performance. According to Billboard, “Protesters angry about the group’s decision to move operations from Ireland to the Netherlands for tax purposes raised a large inflatable with the words “U Pay Tax 2.” After that minor issue was handled the crowd witnessed what they missed in 2010 when U2 was forced to pull out due to a back injury. The 2011 Glastonbury Festival lineup has finally been announced. The festival which will take place in England, June 24-26 at Pilton’s Worthy Farm. Check out the mega lineup with 25+ playing areas. U2, Coldplay, and Beyonce have been dubbed headliners, expect Jay to make an appearance. Other notable names include Wu-Tang, Cee Lo and many more.

2010 proved to be a significant year for the Glastonbury Festival celebrating its 40th Anniversary. After numerous snubs from bands like the Rolling Stone who declined an invitation to perform and U2 being forced to cancel their headline performance due to Bono’s condition. Fans brushed that off and still had plenty of acts to enjoy with the largest festivals in the world kicking off June 25-27. Great performances from acts like the Gorillaz, Stevie Wonder, The XX, The National, and Snoop Dogg.
