?uestlove of the legendary group The Roots (Jimmy Fallon for you none hip-hop heads) got an opportunity to work on two editions of Nike’s Dunk Hi sneakers. First up we have the red and white, with ?uest’s classic silhouette appearing on the tongue. The shoe also features a distinct appearance of a five button lace cover. The other edition known as the Dunk Hi Bz a simple yellow color way with ?uest’s hollow etched silhouette appearing just below the Nike check. No commentsWas it no surprise that Eminem leads the list of nominees? Not at all but numerous artists in select categories was. His chances at Grammy gold include Song and Record of the Year (for “Love the Way You Lie”) and Album of the Year (for Recovery, which is also up for Rap Album of the Year). He’s not finished there also getting nods for Best Rap Solo Performance (for “Not Afraid”), Pop Collaboration With Vocals (B.o.B’s “Airplanes Part II”) and Best Rap Song (for “Love The Way You Lie”). Bruno Mars received seven nominations, with Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga, all grabbing six nominations.
While the category of “Best New Artist,” was announced fans found it hard to believe B.o.B and Nicki Minaj’s names hadn’t surfaced. Cee-Lo’s track “Forget F*ck You” made a big splash this year just in time to get a few nominations. While The Roots work did not go unnoticed gaining a total of 6 nominations 5 for WakeUp! with John Legend and another for How I Got Over.
